Ok, now that my boring credentials are out of the way-let’s get to the good stuff. This is not your average advice column. I acknowledge that life, in general, is not easy. Add a child or two to the mix, and it really can get crazy. I like to try to bring humor into any situation, and that is what this blog is all about. Research based information infused with humor. Once upon a time someone told me, “It’s best to write about what you know.” Well, I know about children… At least my college degrees say I do. As of 2016, I have been personally experiencing the joys and “Oh my God, WHAT did we DO?!” moments of becoming and being a parent.

This blog is dedicated to answering real questions in two different ways- once as a child development specialist, and once as a mother. There also may be a few other varied posts mixed in over time, but mostly answering the questions that (hopefully) YOU submit. This blog also acknowledges (and preaches!) that there is “no one correct or right way” to do anything, and at the end of the day we are all doing the best we can for ourselves, and our families.
